Wood Choices
| The Custom Shoppe offers
four different wood options: Cherry, Maple, Quarter Sawn Oak
and Oak. Each wood has stain choices that are included
in the price. Premium finish choices are also
available including glazed and painted. Our furniture is "all wood" meaning. Solid wood is used for drawer fronts and drawer boxes, doors, moldings, face frame rails, and raised panels. High-quality furniture grade veneer plywood is made to The Custom Shoppe's own specifications and adds structural integrity to fixed and adjustable shelves, sides, and backs. The Custom Shoppe never uses particle board, which is an inferior wood made of sawdust and glue. Interesting facts: - Furniture grade hardwoods are harvested from sustainable forests in northern Wisconsin and Michigan and Pennsylvania and shipped to our factory for processing. - All four sides of a drawer are made of the same solid wood selected for the cabinet. |
